Concealed carriers willing to put in the time and effort to learn to run a revolver that have prepared for the day their paths cross with that of a person or persons willing to harm them can indeed be a force to reckon with. This is especially true for those concealed carriers willing to participate in a formal class, are aware of their limitations, and possess decent threat management skills.
Students will be educated on the nuances of shooting and operating small and medium-frame revolvers in drills and tests designed to leave each student with enhanced skills in employing the carry revolver effectively in situations in which no other options remain except to threaten or use lethal force to protect themselves and their loved ones. It is not uncommon for persons who have not had previous revolver training to find that the revolver is quite accurate even when shot at reasonably high speed and that they fit certain niches better than even a small-frame sub-compact semi-automatic pistol. 150 rounds of training ammunition, 20 rounds of defensive ammunition, concealment holster, two Speed Strips and two Speed loaders, eye and ear protection, and clothing suitable for season and weather conditions that day. Not recommended are extremely light Scandium frame revolvers. Note: this is a great class to take with an Airweight S&W 442/642 or Ruger LCR for those who recognize the utility of these type of handguns.
