Club Information

The East Texas Rifle & Pistol Club (ETRPC) is a private, non-profit, National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association, and CMP affiliated club. We have proudly served the city of Longview and surrounding East Texas areas for over 50 years by providing a safe, family-oriented environment with a wide variety of firearms related training and recreational activities.

Our Location

The range is located one mile south of I-20 on FM 2011 (exit 591) at 1045 FM 2011, the office is located at the range, the office phone number is (903)212-7468.

Please note: Visitors coming from the north on 2011 will bear right at the fork in the road–do not exit onto I-20. After the fork, carry on until you cross a small bridge. ETPRC is located on the left, about 100 yards past the bridge. Coming from the south, if you cross the bridge and reach I-20, you have gone too far.

Member Comfort

• Indoor, insulated restrooms for men and women

Targets holders (2’x2’ cardboard) are available on the pistol ranges for $1.00 each. Target frames are supplied on the rifle ranges. Bring a staple gun to attach targets to target backer and frames.

Guests and family members are welcome but must be accompanied by a member.

Statement of Purpose:
The purpose of this organization shall be the encouragement of organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States, residents of our community, with a view towards a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms as well as improved marksmanship. It shall be our further object and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism. At all times, the corporation will comply with all the provisions and regulations of the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act and its successor statutes

Range Staff

Lewis

Lewis Freeman

A member of ETRPC since 2008 and hired as a RSO in 2012.  Lewis is currently the Range Manager. He is also an NRA Range Safety Officer (2012) as well as an International Defensive Pistol Association Safety Officer (2010).  He has been the ETRPC-IDPA Club Contact since 2010 and was the Match Director for local events until 2015.  Lewis is rated as an Expert in several divisions of IDPA and competes in local, regional, state, and national IDPA matches.  As a two time Past President of ETRPC, he is a member of the club’s Board of Directors and is serving in his 6th consecutive year as Elected Range Officer and our Orientation Class teacher.
Mark

Mark Branch

Mark has been a member of ETRPC since 2013. He has been a Range Safety Officer since 2015. He is also an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. Mark is a veteran of the United States Army and an avid rifle shooter. He also has a Level 3 Security license.  Mark is on duty Friday and Saturday nights from 4:00-8:30PM and Sunday from 7:00AM-3:00PM.
James

James Robinson

James has been a member of ETRPC since 2012 as well as a Range Safety Officer since that time. James served 9 years in the United States Navy as a Special Operations Air Crewman. He also has served 11.5 years in the United States Army Reserves and has served as a Rangemaster and Firearms Instructor. James is a retired law enforcement officer with over 30 years in law enforcement.  James is on duty Wednesday and Thursday nights from 4:00-8:30PM.
Charles

Charles Isgitt

Charles has been a member of ETRPC since 1976. He became our first paid RSO in 2009 and is an NRA Range Safety Officer. He is also a Gregg County Reserve Deputy and has served in that position since 1986. He currently works Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 8:00-12:00 and on Saturdays from 8:00-4:00.

Noberto

Norberto Vazquez

Norberto started working for ETRPC in 2006; only working a couple of hours every Sunday doing range maintenance work. 14 years later he is the mainstay of our range. Norberto works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday keeping our target stands in good repair, any necessary carpentry work, and plumbing repairs. With great attention to detail all repairs are done in those three days. Besides regular maintenance he is contracted to keep our ranges mowed. Certainly, a valued member of our ETRPC Team.

William Lee

William Lee proudly served as a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War, showcasing his dedication to his country. Following his military service, a significant portion of his life has been devoted to the field of Executive Protection, where he has undertaken assignments in various regions including Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. His extensive experience in this field has honed his skills in ensuring the safety and security of individuals.

Kirk Haddix

Kirk Haddix is a valuable team member with a diverse background. He's a USMC veteran and has served a commendable 23 years with the Longview Police Department and an additional 10 years with the Gregg County Sheriff's Department. Kirk is also a dedicated member of the NRA and ETRPC for over 15 years, showcasing his commitment to responsible gun ownership. His wealth of experience in military service and law enforcement brings a unique perspective to our organization.

Tommie Deese

Club President

Tommie Dees has been a member of ETRPC since 2007. He has been participating in shooting activities for many years. he has shot competitively in IPCS (International Practical Shooting Confederation), IHMSA (International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association), Sporting Clays and Steel Challenges. He enjoys spending time on the range with friends and family members. He especially enjoys teaching his grandchildren how to safely handle and shoot firearms and enjoying the outdoors together.

John Rainey

Range Officer
John Rainey has been an active member of the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) since 2007 and has served as a Range Officer for the National Range Officers Institute (NROI) since the same year. His extensive experience includes classification in all 13 divisions of Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) and 8 divisions of USPSA, earning him a place in the prestigious "Club 21." In addition to competitive achievements, John holds the certification of NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, underscoring his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism in the sport. He also serves as the match director for local Steel Challenge events and American Rimfire Association events, overseeing the organization and execution of matches to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Over the years, John has competed in numerous local, regional, and national competitions, continuously honing his skills and contributing to the shooting sports community.
